Farish C. Chandler family papers, circa 1784-1918.

The collection consists of mimeograph copies of information regarding the life of Sarah Gilliam Williamson during the Revolutionary War and letters from Col. F.C. Chandler to his younger brother Isaac V. Chandler (and two other correspondents identified only by their first names, Vivian and Otis) concerning his service in World War I. There are letters from Fort Collins, France, Chattanooga (Tennessee), Bristol (Virginia), and from his active service with the American Expeditionary Force and the British Expeditionary Force. Also included is a DVD recording of a 64th anniversary celebration of D-Day in Normandy, France. F. C. Chandler, Jr. attended the ceremony as a guest of the United States Air Force.
