Photographs collected by Army officer, Ticonderoga Museum director, and historian Edward Pierce Hamilton. Subjects include a carte de visite of a portrait painting of Charles Sumner; a photograph of the Daniel Vose home in Milton, Mass. where the Suffolk Resolves were signed; copy photographs of the historic Church Creek windmill in Woolford, Mass. and of French drawings and plans for windmill design; and color slides taken ca. 1952 of photographs and portraits of various Pierce family members and prominent Massachusetts men. Photographers include Colonial Williamsburg and J. Duncan of York, England.
