On India's coast a pagod stands [manuscript], 1778?

Poem by William Cadogan on David Garrick and William Shakespeare, in which he calls Garrick "high priest of Shakespeare" but insists "All is not gold in Shakespear's page, / Howe'er you pass it on the stage." Endorsed twice by David Garrick: "Dr. Cadogan's verses in answer to mine" and "Dr. Cadogan contra Shakespear in ansr. to my lines."
