The fonds consists of photocopied clippings from the Britannia Beach strike (1964), five collective bargaining agreements between the International Union of Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers and the Anaconda Company (1965-1972), a Britannia Beach Newsletter (December, 1970), transcript of Olive Baxter's Memories of Britannia Beach, typescript of a foreword for a proposed book about Britannia Beach by Barney Greenlee and letters relating to industrial relations and Britannia Beach history.

The International Union of Mine, Mill, and Smelter Workers (IUMMSW) emerged in 1916 from the more radical Western Federation of Miners (WFM) which organized mine and copper industry workers. IUMMSW reasserted its presence in the western mines, most successfully during the five-month strike in Butte and Anaconda (Montana) in 1934. Barney B. Greenlee attended the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines circa 1932. Later Greenlee worked as both a miner and mining engineer and eventually became the general manager of the Britannia mining operation in British Columbia.
