Leonard Klinck fonds. 1889-1969.

The fonds consists of biographical material (1914-1957), copies of speeches (1918-1944), notes from eastern trips (1930-1942) during which Klinck recruited personnel for the university, and memorabilia. In addition, the fonds includes material created after Klinck's death including a recording of his memorial service.

Born in Victoria Square, Ontario, Leonard Klinck developed an early love of the land. He completed his first degree at the Ontario Agricultural College in 1903 and continued his studies at Iowa State College (M.S.A.,1905). Klinck then assumed responsibility for the cereal husbandry department at Macdonald College in Quebec.
