Oral history interview with Geraldine Mills, 2000 [audiorecording].

This personal and candid interview discusses Geraldine's early childhood memories up to her current family of one husband and four chidren. Geraldine talks of growing up in Arlington in the 1940s and 1950s and addresses some of the changes that have occurred in Arlington since that time. Good detail is given on early downtown Arlington businesses and places, as well as the Johnson Creek area. Geraldine also speaks of religion, her mother, and many other personal issues as well as interesting childhood anecdotal stories. Areas such as The Hill community are discussed also.

Geraldine Nash Mills was born on January 1, 1941, and is a lifelong resident of the Arlington community. Her parents were Claude Howell Nash and Daisy Powell. She married James Coulter Mills in 1958 and has three grandchildren and four children. Geraldine currently works at the Fielder Museum in Arlington and has been active in the Arlington Historical Society, Old Timer's Group, and Friends of Johnson Creek.
