Personal military records and ephemera of Stadler, a Reedsville, Wis. native who served with the Navy in Japan during the Vietnam War and was killed in a motorcycle accident in Michigan while in service. There are enlistment and discharge records, souvenir postcards from Japan, and several letters related to his death. Also included are extensive photographs and newspaper clippings about Stadler's motorcycle racing in Japan where he was considered a top rider. There was originally a scrapbook documenting Stadler's motorcycle racing; however, it was deconstructed for preservation purposes and Stadler's captions are found on the backs of the photographs.
