The collection consists of the Alaska cruise photograph album of the Simpson family. The collection contains a xerographic copy of the original 54 page album, 79 color photographs and 6 color photo post cards, and cruise tickets, tags, cards, and other items from the album. Subjects of the photographs include the deck and interior of the Golden Princess, and scenes in Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, and Ketchikan.

David, John, and Gloria Simpson (mother, father, and adult son) took a week long cruise of Southeast Alaska on a Princess Cruises tour in late August to early September of 1994. They flew from Los Angeles to Vancouver, British Columbia, to board the Golden Princess. From Vancouver, the ship made stops in Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, and Ketchikan.
