Collection of typescript extracts taken from Boston estates records, 1630-1822, created and bound by historian and author Annie Haven Thwing of Boston and Roxbury, Mass. Collection includes vols. of extracts from deeds, compiled by street, from the Suffolk County Registry of Deeds; property plans that were recorded with the deeds; a history of the streets; and notes about Boston churches, schools, taverns, and theaters, among other buildings. The volumes were created while doing research for her book, "The Crooked and Narrow Streets of the Town of Boston, 1630-1822," published in 1920, and created in conjunction with her card index (now available on CD-ROM).
