Edward VII (born Albert Edward, 9 November 1841, London, United Kingdom,-d. 6 May 1910, London, United Kingdom) was the the eldest son and second child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. He hoped to pursue a career in the British Army, but his mother vetoed an active military career. He married Alexandra of Denmark in 1863.
