This series comprises correspondence related to the production and distribution of the Lutheran Church Productions, Inc. (LCP) feature film Martin Luther. It dates from 1950-1962 and comprises handwritten and typewritten business correspondence generated during the course of business related to the film's origins, production, and distribution. Subject matter includes initial contacts about the possibility of producing a film about Martin Luther, production aspects including script development and procurement of financing, marketing and distribution plans, reactions of Catholics to the film, a ban of film in Canada's Quebec province, and the creation of a study filmstrip by Concordia Films for use as a study guide for the film. Files are arranged by subject.
