Discussing details and arrangements, including candidates for Chair, of Poel's lecture on "Shakespeare's Profession" at the upcoming tercentenary celebration. Poel suggests Sir Sidney Lee or Sir Squire Bancroft, even though they "would not be wholly in agreement with what he says," or else "Israel Zangwill, Frederick Whelen (Stage Society), H.A. Jones, or Bernard Shaw." On letterhead of Wm. Poel, 5 Amersham Road, Putney, SW. Purple ink stamp of Royal Society of Arts, Adelphi, London 25 Jan. 1915 on front page.
