Beulah "Bee" Marrs came to Alaska in 1941 and was employed by the Bristol Bay Air Service and the Morrison-Knudsen Construction Co. She was an active volunteer with the USO in Anchorage, and became the official hostess of the organization's "Friendly Log Cabin" in 1944.
