Warm Springs Creek Fire records, 1988-1990.

Collection consists of answers to plaintiff interrogatories (December, 1990) by Muriel V. McCorkle, claims specialist for Law Enforcement and Claims of the U. S. Forest Service. Also provided by the Forest Service were the Warm Springs Creek fire case report, by Joseph W. Sologub, Criminal Investigator for Deerlodge National Forest, including numerous exhibits, including maps and photographs; and daily day and night shift plans (August 10-September 8, 1988) for fighting the fire. In addition there are radio logs.

The evolution of the USDA Forest Service is rooted in the General Provision Act of l89l in which Congress authorized the President to designate particular areas of the forested public domain to be set aside as "reserves" for future use.
