The collection consists of an article and photographs relating to the Matanuska Colony. The article, by Mrs. Victor Johnson, comes from The American Magazine and is titled "I'm a Cream-Puff Pioneer." The sixteen black and white photographs and postcards depict houses, farms, tents, churches, the hospital, people, Palmer Day activities, and Matnanuska School.
