Correspondence, 1802-1803.

Letters, 1802-1803, to Samuel Wetherill, Jr., in Philadelphia. One is written from Philadelphia, September 1802; the others are written from New Orleans on January 15, July 2, and November 3, 1803. Morgan writes to Wetherill as a kinsman; the letters concern family and financial affairs, especially his relations with John Price, who owed him $56,000. There is a reference in the last letter to the fact that New Orleans was shortly to become American territory.
