Papers, 1900-1968, but almost entirely from the 1920s through the 1940s. They include correspondence, bills, financial records, clippings, ephemera, and a few photographs. The earliest document is a diary kept in 1900-1901 by Alexander M. Orr, recording a trip to Europe. Other material relates to Marie Kavanaugh; her husband, George Washington Kavanaugh; her daughters, Leonora Warner and Virginia H. Smith; and her grandchildren, Charles George Kavanaugh Warner, William Whiteside Warner, and Bernice Smith; and other members of her family. There are also a few letters to other members of the Warner family dating from 1968. The papers deal with personal and family matters, including Leonora Warner's divorce from Charles J. Warner, school reports on Charles and William Warner from St. Paul's School in Concord (N.H), diets, clothing, jewelry, house renovations, an active social life, and travel in Europe (including an itinerary for a trip to the Berlin Olympics in 1936), and the Middle East. A large body of clippings and ephemera records gossip about the family's social life, including Bernice Smith's marriage to the bandleader Eddie LeBaron.
