Account books, 1872-1892.

Account books, 1872-1892. One records the expenses of travel in France and England in 1872, stating the money is in account with Stewart's grandfather, William C. Rhinelander. A second records the expenses of a more extensive European tour in 1876, when Stewart visited England, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Scandinavia, Russia, and Austria. The other two books list household expenses, and gifts and subscriptions to charities. The first, dated 1882-1883, lists the expenses for 99 Madison Avenue, with a few entries for 30 Washington Square; the second deals with 17 Washington Square.
