Two looseleaf three-ring binders made and presented by the Work Projects Administration and dealing with their information section in New York City. This includes cultural institutions and some military agencies. All dated items are dated in 1941. Vol. 1 is labeled Press Releases. Loose, in back mylar pocket, are newspaper clippings, typewritten and hand written lists, and a copy of a typewritten announcement from the Brooklyn Museum. The volume is separated by dividers by institutions, and contains a selection of press releases, newspaper clippings, and photographs that deal with the WPA, the city budget, Robert Moses, and New York City Libraries and museums. The institutions are as follows: Museum of the City of New York, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens (section empty), New York Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art (section empty), Brooklyn Children's Museum, American Museum of Natural History, Brooklyn Public Library (section empty), Queens Borough Public Library, New York Public Library, Brooklyn College, Military Dict. (section empty), Coast Guard, Basket Clause, and Whse. Files (section empty). Vol. 2 is unlabeled, and consists of descriptions of projects. Inside it holds hole-punched manila folders, each containing information on a different institution. Only two are labled, "3" and "5". They contain typewritten documents, and copies of typewritten documents, charts, and copies of charts for the following institutions: Museum of the City of New York, New York Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Museum, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Children's Museum, American Museum of Natural History, Brooklyn Public Library, Queens Borough Public Library, New York Public Library, Custom Service, Coast Guard.
