Orderly book, June 2-24, 1783 and October 17 - November 3, 1783, of the 1st Massachusetts Regiment, kept by Adjutant Ralph H. Bowles. It includes headquarters orders of Gen. Washington from Newburgh, as well as his farewell orders, orders of Maj. Gens. Heath and Howe, brigade, regimental and garrison orders, including some records of the decisions of courts-martial. Also contains Congressional resolutions concerning the furlough and discharge of non-commissioned officers and soldiers. Orders dated from New Windsor, Newburgh, and West Point. Shelved with a typed copy.
