Roll of men who enlisted in the United States Navy in New York City, April 15, 1861 - February 24, 1864. Prepared according to instructions from the Provost Marshal's Department, transcribed from official records of the recruiting ship North Carolina, at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Gives name, age, occupation and city of residence of the enlisted men, as well as the names of the ships to which they were transferred.
