Holograph manuscript with corrections of British historian Catharine Macaulay's "History of England from the accession of James I to that of the Brunswick line," covering the years 1603-1660. A note in the heading of chapter one states that the manuscript was begun in October of 1762 and finished in August of 1763. Added title page states that the work was published on November 1, 1763 and printed for J. Nourse, R. and J. Dodsley, and D. Johnston. Bookplate of Edward Leith.
