Account book, 1676-1731, kept by Boston merchant James Lloyd; with later accounts of his son, Henry Lloyd. James Lloyd's entries include mercantile accounts for Boston and Rhode Island, 1676-1684, as well as copies of letters and documents pertaining to the acquisition, settlement, and management of Lloyd's Neck, Long Island, 1684-1689. Later entries by Lloyd's son and second lord of the Manor of Queens Village, Henry Lloyd, record accounts relating to the continued development of the property, including account for goods, livestock, cash, and produce, for Queens Village, the Lloyd Manor, and individually leased farmsteads, 1709-1731. Additionally included are miscellaneous accounts and memoranda, 1820-1823, recorded by John N. Lloyd regarding the management and improvement of the Lloyd property in Long Island.
