Items include typed letter, dated 1918 June 11, addressed to Charles Morris Cox by Daniel H. Cox, announcing Charles Cox's appointment as Assistant Camoufleur in the Department of Camouflage, United States Shipping Board Emergency Fleet Corporation. A second letter from Daniel to Charles Cox, dated 1918 December 19, acknowledges Cox's resignation from his position as Assistant Camoufleur. Also included are a war zone pass issued to Cox by the Port of New York Office of the U.S. Customs Service and dated 1918, June 13, as well as an identification card bearing the same date and issued to Cox by the United States Shipping Board.
