Letter, 1842 Aug 22, from Louisa Fancher in Hamburgh, New York, to her brother and sister in McGrawville, Cortlandt Co., New York. Letter describes Ms. Fancher's experience with a severe illness which has obliged her to leave her work teaching Native American Indian children at a local New York State mission. The remaining portions of the letter concern the welfare of other staff members at the mission and school, family matters, and an upcoming trip to Michigan with her father.
