Account book kept by Hook for a variety of commercial ventures (1805-1826). Records sales of various merchandise from the "country store" at White Lake; accounts of trade voyages to and from St. Croix, Martinique, and Teneriffe; and accounts pertaining to the raising and selling of sheep. Hook traded in sugar, Teneriffe wine, paint, beeswax, hams, lard, candles, nails, and other items. The persons with whom he had the most accounts were Capt. Jacob Packwood, Mrs. Sarah Packwod, William J. Van Wagenen of Martinique, John P. De Wint, Peter C. De Wint of Fishkill, N.Y., Elizabeth De Wint, and William Gillispie.
