Estate records for Goelet's estate, especially legal actions surrounding it (1898-1904). Collection includes court proceedings with estate accounts, a copy of the will, a referee's report, and the judgment. Also the partition indenture for property Goelet held with his brother Robert. The partition document includes maps of the properties in question. Persons involved in the legal actions include the executors, Mary R. Goelet (wife) and George G. DeWitt; and Goelet's children Robert and Mary W. Goelet (later Mary Roxburghe). Cases were heard before the New York Supreme Court, County of New York.
