ArchivalResource

Unpublished poems of Joseph Rodman Drake, 1812-1818.

Collection of Drake's poems (1812-1818), unpublished at the time this collection was made, probably in the handwriting of John B. Moreau soon after Drake's death in 1820. Many of these poems were later published in the collection "The Croakers" by Drake and Fitz Greene Halleck; others appear to have been published in newspapers. The poems are humorous and satiric views of life and politics in New York.
