The Milton A. Wolf Papers consists of fifty-four cubic feet of materials dating from 1941 to 2005. The collection documents the life of a Cleveland, Ohio businessman, philanthropist, university professor, and former Ambassador to Austria (1977-1980) who was active in Ohio politics. Dr. Wolf, a close associate of former Ohio Governor Richard F. Celeste, chaired the financial activities for most of the election campaigns of Senator John H. Glenn, including Glenn's presidential campaign in 1984. Dr. Wolf also was active in the Jewish community of Cleveland and during the 1990s headed The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, an international Jewish relief, rescue and reconstruction organization. In addition, Dr. Wolf, who earned four college degrees during his life including a Ph.D. in Economics in 1993, served on the Board of Trustees of both Case Western Reserve University and The Ohio State University. The collection also contains materials documenting the activities of Ambassador Wolf's wife, Roslyn Zehman Wolf, in various charitable organizations in the greater Cleveland area.
