Russell I. Roberge records series, 1937-1950 (bulk, 1946-1948)

The Russell I. Roberge records series consists of three subseries. The Correspondence subseries, 1937-1950 (5.6 cubic ft.), Acc. 713, consists of department and branch correspondence, monthly and quarterly sales and production reports, personnel records, employment applications, and domestic and foreign plant manager meeting minutes. The subseries includes records from the Foreign Operations Department and the International Division. The bulk consists of foreign branch correspondence and subject files, 1946-1948, and includes some material from the Overseas Distributors Branch and the Associated Products Division, 1948-1950. Of special interest are reports and evaluations of the post-war reconstruction programs throughout Europe and Asia. The Subject files subseries, 1937-1949 (2.4 cubic ft.), Acc. 713, consists of Russell I. Roberge's general office files and includes branch correspondence, department communications, International Division organization charts and administrative materials, foreign branch financial reports, management meeting minutes, foreign market studies, dealer organization material, and production reports. The War Contracts Department records subseries, 1942-1946 (5.2 cubic ft.), Acc. 718, consists of correspondence with suppliers and contractors associated with Ford's war production program, subject files consisting of material related to Ford contracts with the United States government, and interdepartmental communications. The subseries includes engineering design drawings, contract settlement procedures, equipment disposition reports, plant facility construction projects, and post-war plant rehabilitation surveys.
