The collection contains 129 black and white photograph contact prints which primarily depict scenes of interior Alaska (ca. 1900). Included are views of rivers, camps, cabins, dog sled teams, a town (St. Michael), and several steamboats (Aurora, Sunflower, Jennie M. and Research - ?). The pictures are numbered: 13-15, 17-19, 22-25, 27, 29-47, 47a, 48-53, 55, 56, 56a, 57, 60, 61, 63, 67-71, 77, 79, 80, 83-109, 132a, 133-146, 152-154, 157-160, 166, 170-181, 181 (2nd), 182, 183, 183a, 184-186, 188, 189, 191-194, 196, 197, 199-204, 225. The collection is accompanied by comments written by Robert DeArmond. The numbers on his list do not exactly coincide with all the photo numbers in the collection.
