The majority of the documents are press releases from Toole's campaign headquarters at the Rainbow Hotel in Great Falls, Mont. The remaining material includes correspondence and scripts from campaign advertisements.

Montana politician. Jack Toole was born in Montana around 1911 or 1912. The grandnephew of Montana's first governor, Toole continued the family tradition of a life in politics. Toole was a state legislator for two terms and ran unsuccessfully for the offices of governor and lieutenant governor.
