Record of John C. Parker's interview with Mrs. Jane D.P. White in which Mrs. White commented upon General Roger A. Pryor, who stayed at the home of Samuel B. Pretlow (Mrs. White's father), near Franklin, Va., for a time during the Civil War. Mrs. White discusses her father's life, the area around what was known as Murfree's Depot, General Pryor's stay at her father's house around the time of the Battle of Carrsville (her father characterized Pryor as "a traitor to the Southern cause"), and Pryor's wife who was the author of Reminiscences of Peace and War.
