Terse entries include mention of working at the loom, dressing flax, curing wood, turning spools, "getting out" staves, attending [militia] training, making salt, sledding stones, "boating shells", hoeing, mowing, and plowing. He also comments on the weather, going to meeting, visiting, and clearing his neighbors' lots. In the back of the volume are accounts with individuals and the proprietors of the sawmill.
