The David A. Roberti Papers document the years David Roberti spent as California State Assemblymember for the 48th District (1967-71) and as California State Senator (1971-94). This includes his years as President Pro Tem of the Senate (1980-1994). The collection's holdings consist of manuscripts, photographs and printed materials, including bill descriptions, correspondence, legislative counsel decisions, newspaper clippings, press releases and records of legislative issues, among which are materials related to David Roberti's landmark gun control legislation from the late 1980s and early 1990s (Series 1. Subseries A) and the establishment of the Office of Asian and Pacific Affairs.
