Author, lecturer. Born in 1917 in New York City. Attended college in Paris, France. Published numerous novels, stories, and articles, which have been translated into thirteen foreign languages. Books include "The Bronc People" (1958), "Portrait of an Artist with Twenty-Six Horses" (1963), and "Dancers in the Scalp House" (1975).
