Northern Arizona University Indian education oral history project [sound recording], 1977-1981.

Narrators are administrators, educators, and students associated with Native American education. Each interview is approximately 50 minutes in duration and contains a standard set of questions regarding the Native Americans' educational experience in the twentieth century. Topics include: personal and educational backgrounds of participants, comparing BIA boarding schools and public schools, goals of Native American education, paternalism, assimilation, termination of BIA governance, reservation life, and Red Power.
