Claim filed in the U.S. District Court, Northern District for the sum of $5,000.00 for salvage of the bark "Oak Hill" by the steam tug "Rescue," after the bark "struck with great violence on the rocks lying between 'Mile Rocks and South Head, '" Feb. 15, 1866, while attempting to enter the Port of San Francisco with a cargo of lumber.
