Photographs of University of Virginia buildings and grounds consisting primarily of views of the construction of Alderman Library, some with Carr's Hill and the Anatomical Hall in the background. Of interest is a copy of a photograph titled "The Borated Studio" depicting University students with placards mocking president Alderman and several professors. On the verso of many of the Alderman photographs is noted, Betts Collection.
