The Theta State Series consists of organizational records, financial records, scrapbooks, and convention material. Two publications contained within these records, "Theta State History: 1934 to 1963" and "Theta State History: 1963 to 1984", provide extensive background on New Mexico's state chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. The Iota Local Series, in addition to organizational records, contains financial records, convention material, scrapbooks, printed material, photographs, and memorabilia. The scrapbooks document club activity from 1938 to 1966 via newspaper clippings, photographs, correspondence and memorabilia. The Other New Mexico Chapter Series consists of material from some of the other New Mexico chapters of Delta Kappa Gamma. The majority of the material is from the Alpha Gamma chapter located in Albuquerque. The Alpha Gamma material dates from 1963 to 1996 and contains organizational records, financial records, convention material, printed material and photographs. A scrapbook for Alpha Gamma documents chapter activity from 1967 to 1990. This series also contains an abundance of material from the Delta chapter located in Raton, New Mexico. Organizational records, financial records, convention material, printed material and photographs date from 1938 to 1995.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International was founded as an organization for women educators in Austin, Texas, in 1929.
