Diary kept by J. Carson, passenger aboard the Ship Georgian on a voyage from Philadelphia to India. Includes charts of observations of temperature, barometer, latitude, longitude, wind and weather. Also contains essays on seasickness, sea life, celestial bodies, descriptions of unusual occurrences on board and of cities of Madras and Calcutta, and watercolor and pencil drawings of shells, birds and fish.
