Congressman reports on "a visible langour attendant on every countenance arrising 1stly from the strong apprehensions of the late epidemic 2ndly from the unpleasant existing state of things in Europe." Also mentions the "nefarious diabolical deep laid schemes of G[ene]t", relations with France and Great Britain, and commercial regulations proposed by the South.
