Journal of a cruise of the U.S. Ship North Carolina, 74 : Bearing the flag of Commo. John Rodgers, Commandr. in Chief of the United States Naval Forces, November 20, 1824 - September 18, 1825.

Journal recording weather, employment of crew and supplies received during fitting out in Norfolk Harbor at the end of 1824; and weather, courses and remarks during ship's cruise of the Mediterranean, 1825, including meetings with officials of the Greek and Turkish governments. Journal includes copies of communications from lieutenants in the Mediterranean Squadron, such as Phillip C. Voorhees, Andrew Fitzhugh, William Taylor, Robert B. Randolph, H.H. Cocke and Matthew Calbraith Perry.
