Inventory of effects of late Miss Jane Poore of Devizes, 1827.

This pamphlet, in a faded blue paper cover, contains an inventory of the belongings of Miss Jane Poore of Devizes, Wiltshire, England. Written and signed by auctioneer Henry Knight on last leaf, dated 12 December 1827. "Taken for the purpose of administration and legacy duty," the detailed inventory lists Poore's household items and possessions dividing them by category: Furniture--Linen--Plate--China, glasses, etc.--Trinkets--Wearing Apparel--Books. Some leaves have penciled initials in the right margin, possibly indicating the buyer of the item(s). The last leaf records the value of the items, sale amounts for each category, and the total earnings of the sale.
