Retained carbon copies of typewritten letters written and distributed by publisher Keith Faulkner Warren of Cambridge, Mass. and Lovell, Maine, July 1943-May 1946, to his wife Barbara Matlack Warren, his children Timothy Matlack, Willard Clinton (called Brub), and Patricia Warren, Barbara's sister Judith Matlack, and Timothy's fianc ̌Phyllis Faber and Brub's fianc ̌Jean Cameron. Letters pertain to Timothy and Brub's Army service during World War II, including Timothy's training and service in the medical section of the 144th Infantry Regiment at various bases in the United States, and Brub's training and service at bases in the United States and the South Pacific. The letters also pertain to Keith's daily life in Cambridge and weekends and vacations in Lovell; Barbara's travels to New York, Maryland, and Florida; Patricia's education and work with children; Phyllis and Jean's social and educational experiences; Judith's teaching at Simmons College in Boston, Mass. and her travels across the United States; and updates and accounts of the lives of other family and friends.
