Lovejoy-McLeod family papers, 1914-2001.

The papers of the Lovejoy and McLeod families of Old Town and Stillwater, Maine. The papers include an essay "The Kindergarten" written by Nellie Mae Lovejoy, a newspaper clipping, deeds, receipts, and photographs. Included are two photograph albums. One of the albums containing photographs of his camp was given to Henry McLeod in 1907. The second album belonged to Gregg Clarke McLeod and contains photographs of ROTC summer camp in Fort Devens, Massachusetts in 1932; of Fort McKinley, Maine in 1933; scenes at LD-ME-1 project headquarters of the Resettlement Administration; Bangor and Aroostook shops at Derby, Maine; Gould Coupler Corp. in Depew, New York; Magor Car Corp. in Passaic, New Jersey; Company "B," C.M.T.C., Fort McKinley, Maine in 1939; views of the infantry school at Fort Benning, Georgia in 1940; and picture postcards of scenes from Warm Springs, Georgia. Included also are letters and notes from Barbara D. Holtry describing the photographs and family papers.
