Before Columbus draft manuscripts : who discovered America?, 1980-1981.

Collection consists of three items pertaining to the children's book, "Before Columbus : Who Discovered America?" Initially, Neal was asked to write a book using plenty of thoughts, feelings, and dialogue (original manuscript). He was later asked to rewrite it, omitting the thoughts, feelings, and dialogue (second version with editor's notes). Accordingly the two manuscripts vary a great deal. There is also a galley proof of the book.
