Charles E. Huse Diary, 1850-1857.

Typescript draft of excerpts from the Charles E. Huse Diary, 1850-1852 (San Francisco) and 1853-1857 (Santa Barbara), edited by William Henry Ellison and translated (from Spanish) by Francis Price. The original two volume manuscript diary is housed in the Santa Barbara Historical Society Library. The collection also includes a copy of the earlier 1953 typescript of the entire Huse Diary, probably intended to be used for excerpting/editing purposes.
