Josef Rosenberg was born in Budapest, Hungary on September 28, 1892. He made his musical debut at the age of nine, giving a piano concert in Budapest and then making a concert tour of his home country. When Rosenberg was thirteen, his parents emigrated to the United States, leaving him in Vienna, Austria to continue his musical studies.
