Margaret Callaghan was born in New York City to Peter (originally from Cornahove, County Armagh) and Catherine “Kitty” Callaghan. Since childhood Callaghan has been an active member of the New York Armagh community, marching in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade for the county at age three.
